This September 1957 Dell issue puts Bugs Bunny front and center in a wonderfully breezy cover scene, as the wisecracking rabbit pedals a red bicycle while clutching a paint can and brush — apparently mid-mischief and thoroughly pleased about it. A tiny Bugs peers down cheekily from within the film-strip title banner above, doubling the fun. Ralph Heimdahl's cover art captures that loose, cheerful energy that made these Dell Looney Tunes comics such a delight for young readers of the era.
