Lockjaw #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe finale of Lockjaw's 2018 limited series goes out with a bang, pitting the lovable Inhuman teleporting bulldog against the cosmic menace Annihilus — and the cover by Ulises Fariñas captures the chaotic charm perfectly. Lockjaw's enormous drooling snout dominates the foreground while a bespectacled bulldog companion and a bearded, leather-jacketed man scramble behind him, all of them seemingly piled atop a heap of colorful debris that includes a very unhappy, wide-eyed alien face below. It's a wonderfully absurd image that neatly encapsulates what writer Daniel Kibblesmith and artist Carlos Villa have delivered throughout this series — big heart, big dog, and surprisingly high cosmic stakes.
