Locke & Key: Head Games #5
Gabriel Rodriguez's cover for this fifth issue of Head Games makes the series' central conceit viscerally tangible: a young man's skull opens like a lidded vessel, and a dark, feral figure crouches at the rim, peering — or perhaps climbing — down into the glowing interior of his mind. The boy's blue eyes are threaded with red, his expression caught somewhere between a smirk and a wince, suggesting he's both aware and helpless all at once. Joe Hill and Rodriguez continue to push Locke & Key into genuinely unsettling territory, and this penultimate chapter of Head Games promises that the series hasn't finished surprising you yet.
