Locke & Key: Head Games #3
Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez's Locke & Key: Head Games hits its third issue with a cover that makes the series' supernatural unease feel genuinely visceral — a young woman with mismatched, disturbing eyes (one an X, one a hypnotic spiral) is gripped by unseen hands, while another figure lies blank-eyed on the floor below, and a mysterious ornate key hovers at the center of it all. The swirling psychedelic backdrop and the cover's own self-aware tagline — "An Insane Tale of Insanity in the IDW Tradition!" — give the whole image a gleefully unhinged energy. Rodríguez's linework is razor-sharp, making this a striking entry in one of IDW's most compelling horror series.
