Locke & Key: Clockworks #6
The "Clockworks" arc reaches its finale with this unsettling cover by Gabriel Rodriguez — a grinning young man wearing an ornate winged crown extends a dark key toward the viewer, his clothes stained with blood, while a battered armored figure with white wings slumps beside him and Keyhouse looms in the dusky background. Rodriguez's linework perfectly captures that queasy tension between charm and menace that defines the series at its best. Joe Hill's "Curtain" promises to deliver exactly what the title suggests — an ending that closes something, perhaps irrevocably.
