Lobo: In the Chair #1

Lobo strapped to an electric chair while lightning crackles across a shattered blue background — and somehow he's still roaring, fists clenched, skull-adorned buckles straining against the voltage — is about as perfect an image as 1994 DC could deliver for the Main Man. Martin Emond's cover art captures the gleeful indestructibility that makes Lobo such a wildly entertaining character, with every detail from the spiked mohawk to the chain restraints rendered in crackling monochrome against that electric glow. Alan Grant and Emond team up for this special, and if the cover is any indication, "In the Chair" is going to be a thoroughly irreverent ride.
