Lobo Convention Special #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeKevin O'Neill's cover for this 1993 one-shot is a gleeful romp through comics history, with a heavily armed, sneering Lobo front and center — decked out in an "L"-emblazoned superhero costume, ammunition belt, and enormous golden fist — surrounded by a collage of fake vintage comic covers including Lobo Comics, Main Man, Action Frags, Captain Bastich, and The Thrash, each a sly parody of Golden Age titles. The whole composition feels like Lobo has crashed a convention and ransacked the back-issue bins, bullets flying everywhere. Written by Keith Giffen and Alan Grant with art by Kevin O'Neill, Lobo-Con promises exactly the kind of irreverent mayhem that made the Main Man such a fan favorite in 1993.
