Long missing and presumed dead for six years, we learn that Lobo has been stranded in misery on a primitive planet of farmers. He is unable to leave due to the planet's complete lack of technology. A ship, whose occupants, the Veltrusiasns, have deduced Lobo's probable location have come to him for help, requesting that he recover their princess kidnapped by the evil Murdercrotch Slaughterface. After reclaiming his bike, his trademark "Bite Me, Fanboy" jacket and other possessions from the bastich who stole them, he's off to fulfill his contract to rescue the kidnapped Veltrusiasn princess.
