Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland #4

Issue four of IDW's Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland delivers one of the series' most visually imaginative covers, with a gleaming golden vessel pulled through a dreamlike underwater-sky by three enormous turquoise fish harnessed in gilded fittings. A crowd of colorful characters — including a young boy in a blue suit, masked and costumed figures, and what appears to be a stately elder — fills the gondola as it soars past towering, otherworldly rock formations under a star-flecked sky. Gabriel Rodriguez's linework captures the whimsical grandeur that earned the series its praise, and Nelson Dániel's rich colors make the whole fantastical scene shimmer with storybook warmth.
