Dustin Nguyen's watercolor cover for this 2023 Image title sets a haunting, atmospheric tone — a group of small, ragged children stand together against a blood-red backdrop, while two looming shadow figures with glowing red eyes loom behind them, one of them holding an enormous sword. Jeff Lemire and Nguyen's collaboration promises something tender and unsettling in equal measure, blending childhood fragility with something much darker lurking just behind. A striking second chapter in what's shaping up to be a genuinely affecting series.
