☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe issue contains multiple Little Audrey stories. One story features Audrey at an underwater pop-up shooting gallery encountering various sea creatures including jellyfish, a whale, and an octopus that tickle and chase her. Another story shows Audrey at a railway station helping a man carry his suitcase, repeatedly refusing payment until he finally asks what she is carrying it for, leading to a comedic exchange. A third story depicts Audrey joining a gang of boys as their new leader, then organizing them to earn money through various errands and odd jobs, with the children ultimately pooling their earnings together.
Little Audrey decides to skip school and head to the fishing lake instead, but her day quickly spirals into a wild underwater adventure filled with mishaps—from dodging a truant officer to tangling with eccentric lake creatures and an overeager Frenchman at a seaside café. After a series of increasingly chaotic encounters that make her reconsider her choice, she finds herself back in the classroom facing consequences for her day of hookey-playing.
Little Audrey crashes an all-boys club by disguising herself as a tough kid named Spike, and before long she's muscled her way into the leadership—only to have her cover blown at the worst possible moment. When the boys come after her, she finds an unexpected way to turn the tables and strike a bargain that gets her back in their good graces.
