While out in a field testing Dilton's new radio-controlled model plane, Little Archie and Dilton see the South Side Serpents preparing to shoot a Peregrine and her baby out of the sky. They use the plane and its little dud bomb to help the falcon and drive the Serpents away. But the Serpents' BBs have battered Dilton's plane, and its propeller falls off. The boys search for the propeller but can't find it anywhere, leaving Dilton unable to enter the plane in the model prop meet.
