Lion #96 is an anthology featuring three stories: "Captain Condor and the Space-Ship Spy," in which the space pilot Captain Condor and his crew attempt to capture a spy who has sabotaged their space-station by disconnecting a driving shaft, leading to a gunfight aboard the station; "Grit Gregson—Fighter in the Foreign Legion," which begins a new desert adventure series about a Foreign Legion soldier; and "Rory—Mick the Mountie's Dog," a Christmas-themed story in which police dog Rory must regain his confidence after a traumatic incident with crackers, ultimately helping recover stolen supplies and track down Dynamite Dan. The issue also includes a Christmas quiz with fourteen questions.
