Lion #72 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "Captain Condor: Space-Man of the Unknown Moon" depicts a space pilot and his allies battling lava flows and confronting rebel forces on an uncharted moon in the year 3000. "Jingo Jones and His Invisibiliser" by Tom Stirling follows a schoolboy named Jingo whose magical invisibiliser gadget causes comic mishaps when he attempts to impress his peers and prove the device's powers at a school fete. The issue also includes "The Secret Tunnellers of Calitz Camp," a war picture story, and concludes with a "World-Wide Quiz" featuring fourteen illustrated brain-teasing questions about geography, animals, sports, and world cultures.
