A second story depicts a lion attacking Cardoc and guards at what appears to be a Roman or classical setting, with a traitor named Platus revealed to have released the beast. The issue also includes "Jingo Jones and His Invisibiliser" by Tom Stirling, in which a schoolboy named Jingo Jones discovers an invisibiliser device and uses it to play pranks at school, including vanishing his bicycle and causing mayhem when a sergeant mistakes him for a student. Additionally, the comic contains a "World-Wide Quiz" featuring fifteen trivia questions on topics ranging from vehicles to geography.
