The neon-drenched finale issue of Watters and Wijngaard's Limbo goes out with a striking image: a hooded figure, bat resting on one shoulder and a skeletal mechanical arm at their side, strides forward against a city backdrop lit by the glow of a "CONVEX" hotel sign and a burning lucha libre billboard advertising "Bresida vs. El Pulgar." Wijngaard's moody, electric color work — deep purples and golds erupting behind the lead figure — gives this sixth issue a cinematic, otherworldly energy that perfectly suits the series' noir-supernatural vibe.
