The issue contains multiple comic stories. In one story, a tomboy and a boy venture into the woods at night, where they encounter an owl in a tree and become frightened when they see wolves, forcing them to flee back to safety. Another story features a girl who wants to prove she can be a "good girl" by learning to cook and sew like other girls, but her attempt at cooking in the kitchen results in a fire that sends her adult supervisor running in panic. A third story depicts a boy challenging others to follow him up a 500-foot tower, daring them to stand on his head atop it; when they accept the challenge, they end up chasing each other around the tower in a dangerous game.
