When she tries to get rid of it by claiming she was lost while playing with it, the story spirals into complications involving a newspaper editor, a police officer, and rumors about her becoming a member of a fancy club. After several weeks pass and the situation escalates, Li'l Tomboy attempts to manage the chaos by creating a fake family album, only to face further trouble when she must entertain a visiting society woman at her home.
