A dentist's waiting room has never looked quite this entertaining — Joe Edwards puts little Jinx right at the center of a perfectly timed gag, as a frazzled bald dentist leans out his door calling "Next!" while a miserable patient sits in the waiting room with his jaw wrapped in bandages, clutching a newspaper. Jinx herself, blonde pigtails and mischievous grin intact, seems entirely unbothered by the dental dread around her. Edwards handles every line of this charming 1957 Archie Series entry himself — writing, drawing, inking, and lettering — and his confident, expressive cartooning makes this ten-cent comic a delightful snapshot of mid-century all-ages humor.
