This volume collects the daily Li'l Abner newspaper strips from 1938, continuing Al Capp's satirical look at life in the hillbilly town of Dogpatch. The strips follow Abner Yokum, Daisy Mae, and the eccentric cast as Capp's humor sharpens, introducing recurring gags and social commentary that would define the series' golden age.
