Li'l Abner #13

Jun 1955 · New Century Press · 9d [0-0-9 AUP]

Gangsters who have bets on the outcome of Sadie Hawkins Day try to coerce Li'l Abner into throwing the race but he adamantly refuses. So, they then enlist the services of hoodlum Evil-Eye Fleagle thinking his Evil-Eye hex will get Abner to do their bidding. Meanwhile, British royal Lady Hotfoot arrives from England to participate in the Sadie Hawkins day race, and Abner falls in love with the owner of the kneecap he's seen in a photo. His search for the kneecap's owner leads to Slobbovian dancer Lopya Haddoff, in town for a performance of The Saber Dance.
