Les Vétos #3

From Bamboo Édition, this 2011 installment of Les Vétos by Peral & Gilson captures the series' cheerful charm in a single irresistible image: a self-satisfied grey cat sits front and center, blissfully unbothered while two young vets — one armed with a butterfly net — sprawl in the autumn-toned shrubbery behind it, clearly having had the worst of their encounter. The stethoscope dangling from the title logo says everything about the gap between veterinary ambition and feline indifference. It's warm, witty Franco-Belgian comics comedy at its most inviting.
