Volume 8 of Barasui's beloved slice-of-life series Ichigo Mashimaro arrives in this 2019 Kurokawa edition, and the cover sets a wonderfully playful tone — two of the girls are dressed up in bridal finery, one carrying the other in a mock wedding-carry pose, surrounded by soft pink petals and a bouquet of roses. The mix of the dark-haired girl's determined expression and her wide-eyed blonde companion captures exactly the charming, gently chaotic energy that makes this series so endearing. A lovely addition to any collection of this sweet, slice-of-life manga.
