From Casterman's charming MiniDB line comes this 2005 installment of Sophie Dieuaide and Catel's Les Papooses — "Un froid de loup," or "Wolf-Cold." The cover plunges us straight into a blustering blizzard, where three bundled young children wrapped in colorful patterned blankets trudge bravely through deep snow, accompanied by a fluffy white lamb and a little bird, while wolves loom ominously on a snowy ridge in the background. It's a wonderfully cozy yet adventurous image that perfectly captures the series' knack for pairing big, wintry peril with small, warm-hearted heroes.
