Les naufragés du temps #9

Paul Gillon's long-running French science-fiction series Les Naufragés du Temps reaches its ninth volume, subtitled Terra, published by Glénat in 2009. The cover puts two faces in startling close-up — a grimacing, dark-haired man in red and a wide-eyed clown with a vivid red nose and outstretched hand, their expressions locked in what feels like a collision of dread and desperation. It's a viscerally arresting image that makes this volume hard to put down before you've even opened the cover.
