Les naufragés du temps #4
From the creative partnership of writer Jean-Claude Forest and artist Paul Gillon comes this fourth volume in Les naufragés du temps, subtitled "L'univers cannibale" and published by Les Humanoïdes Associés in 1979. Paul Gillon's cover draws the eye immediately: two figures — one in yellow, one in blue — are caught inside the fleshy, curling petals of an enormous carnivorous flower, its pink and cream folds closing around them in a deeply unsettling embrace. It's a beautifully rendered image of vulnerability against a hostile natural world, and a compelling reason to dive into whatever strange temporal odyssey awaits within.
