The third volume of Les Godillots from Bamboo Édition sends its young heroes racing across the countryside in a bright red automobile while, overhead, a French World War I biplane swoops dramatically through a pale sky — and a seagull wheels freely between the two worlds. Created by Olier and Marko, this album titled Le Vol du Goéland ("The Seagull's Flight") perfectly captures the series' spirited blend of wartime adventure and childhood daring, all rendered in Marko's clean, warmly inviting linework.
