The eighth volume of Nicolas Doucet's cheerful family series, Les Familius, arrives with a cover that says it all: a wonderfully chaotic household in full meltdown, with kids tumbling, laughing, and squabbling while a frazzled dad clutches what looks like a human-anatomy model and a daughter has somehow ended up dangling from a curtain rod atop a precarious stack of books. The subtitle Restons calmes ! — "Let's stay calm!" — delivers the joke perfectly, as absolutely nobody on this sunny yellow cover appears remotely calm. Published in 2016 by Artège BD, it's a warm and witty snapshot of family life at its most lovably unruly.
