Nicolas Doucet's fourth volume of Les Familius arrives with the delightfully chaotic subtitle Recettes de famille — and the cover says it all. A gleefully proud dad presents what appears to be a thoroughly scorched dish (smoke and all) to a table of family members whose expressions range from politely horrified to outright disgusted, while a cheerful baby seems blissfully unbothered. Published by Artège Éditions in 2012, this is warm, relatable French family humor at its most appetizing — even when the cooking clearly isn't.
