The sixth volume of Les Elfées brings the quartet of young elf heroines together against a wintry backdrop, with four distinct characters — a blonde in fur-trimmed boots, a brunette in a golden scarf, a pink-haired girl cradling a small creature, and a dark-haired companion in a bear-eared hood — facing what appears to be a shadowy threat lurking at the edge of the snow-covered forest. Carrère, Weissengel, and Dollphane's manga-influenced style gives the 2012 Dargaud release an instantly appealing charm that suits the series' blend of fantasy and friendship.
