Les aventures de Raoul Fracassin #3

Part spy caper, part retro-action romp, this third volume of Les aventures de Raoul Fracassin arrives from Editions Jungle in 2016 with a cover by Philippe Loirat that sets the tone perfectly: a stocky, rumpled man grips a pistol atop what appears to be a military bomb bearing a U.S. Air Force star, while a sharp-dressed woman in a purple jumpsuit takes aim behind him, ready for anything. Writer Philippe Chanoinat and artist-colorist Loirat clearly have a flair for the stylish, tongue-in-cheek aesthetic of classic European adventure comics, and Les Flingueurs attirent la foudre looks like a thoroughly entertaining ride.
