Legenderry: Vampirella #4
Dynamite's steampunk reimagining of Vampirella reaches its fourth chapter with a cover by Sergio Fernández Dávila that's equal parts tenderness and devastation — a green-skinned, dark-haired Vampirella lies limp in the arms of a similarly pallid, coat-clad figure amid a scene of shattered doors, cracked walls, and looming gears rendered in deep magentas and shadows. The raw vulnerability of the two figures against that beautifully ruined backdrop gives this installment a gothic weight that sets it apart from typical action-forward covers. "Chapter Four: Citizen Kurtz" looks to push this steampunk world to a dramatic breaking point, and with David Avallone writing and David T. Cabrera on interior art, fans of the series will want this one in hand.
