Leave It to Chance #9
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIssue #9 of Leave It to Chance leans hard into its "Midnite Monster Madness" story title, and the cover delivers exactly what that promises: a werewolf, a vampire, a mummy, and a shambling zombie-like creature burst from a giant "Regal" canister labeled "Lair of the Man Monster," while a crowd of wide-eyed, screaming kids — including a dark-haired girl clutching a small winged dragon — scrambles in the foreground. Paul Smith's pencils and George Freeman's inks give the monsters a delightfully menacing energy that somehow never loses the series' warm, all-ages spirit. If you've been following Chance's adventures, this 1998 Homage Comics entry looks like a wonderfully chaotic ride.
