“Trick or Threat”

Issue #5 of Leave It to Chance brings some serious Halloween energy with a cover that's equal parts spooky and delightfully chaotic. Paul Smith's artwork packs the scene with a massive, leering demon face dominating the background amid flames, while a young dark-haired girl clutches a staff and struggles against a crowd of grinning red-skinned devil figures — along with a winged creature overhead and a wide-eyed monkey in the foreground. The "Trick or Threat" story title promises that this Image/Homage Comics series is leaning fully into the supernatural fun that makes Leave It to Chance such a treat.
