Leave It to Binky #35

This November–December 1953 DC teen comedy has a mountain-climbing setup that's good for a genuine laugh: a breezy blonde in a green outfit strolls along cheerfully declaring she feels great, completely unaware — or unconcerned — that poor Binky is buried under a mountain of gear, barely staying upright under the weight of a massive pack, pickaxe, rope, camera, and assorted equipment. It's a perfectly timed gag that captures the series' knack for putting its hapless hero in the most relatable kind of misery while everyone else sails through unscathed.
