Peter Porkchops is up to his usual mischief in this cheerful 1953 DC offering, where the cover finds a hapless cat singing away in a wooden washtub — blissfully unaware that Peter is leaning through a doorway behind him, gleefully about to swap the bath salts for a jug of ink. Otto Feuer's clean, expressive linework gives the gag a wonderfully bouncy energy, with musical notes floating through the air and suds flying to sell the comedic setup perfectly. A delightful slice of mid-century funny-animal humor at its most playful.
