Le Scorpion #13
The thirteenth chapter of Dargaud's swashbuckling Franco-Belgian series takes the Scorpion to the sun-baked grandeur of ancient Egypt, as the subtitle Tamose l'Égyptien promises an adventure steeped in pharaonic mystery. The cover, rendered by Critone with a script by Desberg, places our rakish, mustachioed hero front and center — sword in hand, dressed in his signature rust-and-brown adventurer's coat — standing atop rocky desert terrain before the sweeping colonnaded terraces of what appears to be a great Egyptian temple. It's a striking composition that perfectly balances the series' blend of historical atmosphere and roguish action.
