From Fabrice Erre and 6 Pieds Sous Terre comes this wonderfully deadpan slice of French alternative comics — Le Roux, its bold orange cover dominated by a grumpy, round-faced redhead whose magnificent mop of hair fills nearly the entire frame. The minimalist design is immediately disarming: that scowling little face peeking out beneath an avalanche of bright orange locks says everything about the dry humor waiting inside. A charming 2007 entry in the 6 Pieds Sous Terre catalog that wears its comedic heart right on its sleeve.
