Le Requiem du Roi des Roses #2

Aya Kanno's dark fantasy continues with this second volume from Ki-oon's seinen line, its cover dominated by a brooding, sharp-featured figure draped in deep violet, one hand clad in an ornate skeletal black gauntlet. Crimson roses bloom and fade into shadow all around him, lending the composition an atmosphere of gothic elegance that feels both mournful and quietly threatening. If this opening image is any indication, Le Requiem du Roi des Roses is shaping up to be one of 2015's most visually arresting manga releases.
