Season 3 of Le Chant des Stryges opens its "Hybrides" arc with a cover that pulls you straight into a sun-bleached desert landscape, where a dark-haired woman strides confidently in the foreground while two more figures pick their way through ancient stone ruins behind her — all of them shadowed by enormous, ghostly faces that loom through the haze above. Richard Guérineau's artwork sets a quietly unsettling tone, balancing the harsh warmth of the terrain against those spectral presences hanging over the scene. Published by Delcourt in 2013, this volume brings together the talents of writer Éric Corbeyran and colorist Dimitri Fogolin for what promises to be a compelling new chapter in this long-running French supernatural series.
