Le Chant des Runes #2

The second volume of Le Chant des Runes — subtitled "Le quatrième frère" — arrives from Glénat in 2016 with a cover by Jean-Charles Poupard that immediately commands attention: two small human figures, one wielding a flashlight beam, stand dwarfed beneath the looming, hooded silhouette of an enormous and deeply unsettling entity, while skulls litter the ground at their feet. The scale and atmosphere say everything about the tone Sylvain Runberg and Poupard are crafting — humanity confronting something vast and ancient, with precious little protection between them and it. A compelling continuation of this dark Nordic-tinged series.
