This gorgeous graphic adaptation of Didier Decoin's novel brings together writer Decoin (de l'académie Goncourt) and artist Julia Bourdet for a visually striking collaboration published by Stock Graphique. The cover draws you in immediately: a young woman in a blue kimono gazes serenely outward, surrounded by swirling teal waters and two vivid koi — one red, one blue — that seem to drift through the same dreamlike space she inhabits. It's a beautifully composed image that evokes the quiet poetry of traditional Japan, and a fine addition to any collection of Franco-Belgian literary comics from 2022.
