Lassie discovers Terry Lee, a boy lost in the forest for two days, clinging to a rocky ledge. The two are found by Deke and Brad, and taken to a lonely cabin. Deke hopes the reward posted by Terry's father for the boy's return will increase if he's missing a few more days. Lassie and Terry escape and make their way through the forest. Lassie protects the boy from a marauding mountain lion and leads him to the ranger station. Terry is reunited with his father.
