Steve Moran is sent to prison based on Corey's testimony but escapes with intent to kill Corey. The police chief alerts Corey. That night, a motorist claiming to have a flat tire lures Corey from his cabin. Moran jumps from the brush with a pistol but Lassie battles both Moran and his accomplice. Corey leads the two away to the authorities.
