In "Skibbrudden," Lassie and her companions set off on a summer voyage from Maine to Florida aboard Mr. Carver’s power cruiser, their journey marked by the open sea and the promise of adventure. In the wilds of the Matto Grosso, Lassie and her companions return to the homestead expecting a warm welcome from Lalo, the caretaker—only to be confronted by Pablo Mira and two thieftakers accusing Lalo of murdering Mira’s partner, Tomas. With tension rising and trust unraveling, the group must navigate suspicion and danger in a place where loyalty is as scarce as safety.
