Created by El Diablo and Seth, this French bande dessinée from Editions Jungle kicks off with a cover dripping in urban attitude — a confident, stylishly drawn female police officer dominates the foreground, baton in hand, while two scraggly street characters strike poses against a graffiti-tagged wall bearing the words "Nique La Police." The tagline La Vraie Vie des Vrais Gars ("The Real Life of Real Guys") sets the tone perfectly: this is a sharp, irreverent look at street life filtered through bold, cartoonish art that feels equal parts comedy and social commentary. A promising opener from the Urban Jungle imprint's 2008 lineup.
