The third volume of Yukiru Sugisaki's Lagoon Engine arrives in this French-language Glénat edition with one of the more playful cover designs you'll find on a manga shelf — the whole thing is styled as a collector action-figure blister pack, complete with orange cardboard backing, star graphics, and a "Yein & Jin Figure" banner. Two characters are presented as packaged toys inside the mock blister, one sporting a blue jacket and spiky dark hair, the other with green-streaked hair and a bold graphic tee. It's a charming, self-aware piece of 2008 manga packaging that makes this volume stand out immediately as something a little different.
