Lady Death #1

Dec 2010 · Avatar Press · 3.99 USD

Lady Death #1 (2010) kicks off a dark, atmospheric journey with a chilling premise: the birth of the Death Queen from the fractured soul of Lady Death herself. Written by Brian Pulido and Mike Wolfer, and brought to life by Marcelo Mueller’s striking art and Digikore Studios’ moody colors, this issue introduces a haunting conflict where Hope’s power is scattered across the globe. Cover by Garrie Gastonny captures the eerie tone, setting the stage for a story where a witch’s revelation about Hope’s past leads to a deadly confrontation with a werewolf assassin.

Death Queen has been created from the darkness of Lady Death's soul. She could not destroy Lady Death, but she scattered her power across the five continents to ensure Hope could never become whole. A witch is able to reveal Hope's past to her, but when a werewolf assassin attacks Hope, the witch is caught in the ensuing battle and killed.
