La vie de bêtes #[nn]

Reiser's La Vie des Bêtes, published by Glénat in 2011, showcases the cartoonist's wonderfully anarchic line work right on the cover: a bug-eyed, scraggly heron clutches a thin perch while a frantic, wide-eyed deer scrambles beside it in a tangle of limbs. The loose, expressive brushwork gives both animals a hilariously unhinged energy that promises sharp, witty observations on the animal world within.
