La tour fantôme #2

The second volume of La Tour Fantôme arrives in this 2014 Glénat French edition, with Taro Nogizaki's cover presenting a striking tableau: a confident young woman in an elaborate floral kimono takes center stage alongside a blonde figure in the background, while a bound, frightened girl in blue and a procession of ghostly, stone-like silhouettes loom ominously in the distance. The contrast between the vivid warmth of the kimono and the grey, spectral figures trailing toward the water creates an atmosphere that is at once elegant and deeply unsettling. Adapted from Reiho Kuretsu's Banshee, this series clearly has a strong visual identity that blends supernatural dread with beautifully rendered characters.
